Blackboard
Blackboard is a comprehensive online course management system used for
Developmental Studies courses at Bainbridge College. Blackboard offers
instructors and teachers a rich learning environment that can support multimedia
course content, links to resources anywhere on the World Wide Web, threaded
discussion boards, live chat, a whiteboard, online exams, and a course calendar.
Blackboard requires a Windows or a Macintosh computer and the software listed
below is recommended. Some courses may have additional software requirements,
which your instructor will inform you of.
Students having difficulty with Blackboard should first make sure they have
the software listed above installed on their computers. Other sources of trouble
for Blackboard users include pop-up blockers, web search toolbars, and spyware.
Toll-free technical support is available for Blackboard by calling (800) 532-4882 between 8am and 4:30pm weekdays or by using the online
support request form. The GVTC coordinator at Bainbridge College is Barry Reynolds, who may be reached at (229) 248-2530 or by e-mail at breynold@bainbridge.edu. Bainbridge College Technology Services is also available to provide assistance. Contact us at (229) 249-3903 or e-mail support@bainbridge.edu. All questions about the content of a web course, assignments, tests, and prerequisites should be directed to the instructor.
