Technical Studies

Mission Statement

The Bainbridge College Technical Studies Division provides quality technical, professional, and educational opportunities which prepare students for success in the community and create a more educated workforce.

Did you know that?
  • More than 80% of careers require education and training beyond high school?
  • Technical employment is the fastest growing segment of the labor market?
  • Technical jobs not only pay well but they are more plentiful than professional ones which comprise only 20% of all occupations.
  • The fastest growing occupations right now are in the fields of computer technology and health services.

The Division of Technical Studies at Bainbridge College offers many options for career programs. These include specialized certificates, regular certificates, and applied science degrees. Additional programs are offered in conjunction with Southwest Georgia Technical College and Albany Technical College in business, health, service, and technology. The Technical Studies Division also offers several programs to area high school students including Tech Prep, Youth Apprenticeship, and PSO. Credit and noncredit course offerings are provided to local business and industry.

A number of new degree and certificate programs have been added in 2002. These include a new degree in Early Childhood Care and Education and certificates in the computer, medical, industrial, health, and law enforcement fields. Please take a look at our catalog and see how Bainbridge College is working hard to serve the educational and training needs of Southwest Georgia.

The faculty of the Division of Technical Studies have extensive work, educational, and training histories in their fields of expertise. Faculty and staff work with the surrounding business and industry community to offer the most up-to-date and relevant course work for students. A significant focus is placed on developing the strong work ethics needed in a fast-paced, technological workforce.
