Office of Information and Instructional Technology

OIIT's Mission:

The Office of Information and Instructional Technology exists to support the students, faculty, and staff of Bainbridge College in all matters relating to technology support and services. Our mission is to provide quality, reliable, and responsive information and instructional technology support services to the Bainbridge College community that are consistent with the strategic planning process of the College. This is accomplished through the delivery of efficient, enhanced, and collaborative support and services. This unit will also foster the development of both innovative and proactive information technology expertise and assist the College in planning for effective use of both current and future technologies.

OIIT is responsible for:

  • Computer network services
  • Facutly, staff, and student email services
  • Web services
  • Instructional and administrative software applications
  • End-user support services

Bainbridge College respects the intellectual property rights of others seriously and expects students, faculty, and staff to do so as well. It is the responsibility of all members of the Bainbridge College community to make a good faith determination that their use of copyrighted materials complies with the United States Copyright Law and the University System of Georgia copyright policies.

Proper use of copyright materials also extends to electronic resources available on the internet. Anyone using Bainbridge College computing and network resources consents to the College’s Computer Acceptable Use Policy. The policy outlines the responsible use of all college computing and network resources. It states users are expected to abide by the guidelines set forth. Persons who violate the Computer Acceptable Use Policy, as well as other policies regarding the use of copyrighted materials, may be subject to revocation or limitation of their computer and network privileges, other disciplinary actions, or may be referred to appropriate external authorities.
